Direct Shear Test - Cohesion value and Angle of friction
AS PER IS 2720 PART 13
Objective - To determine the shear strength of soil materials.
Shear strength is defined as the maximum resistance that a material can withstand when subjected to shearing. Direct Shear Test is considered one of the most common and simple tests to derive the strength of a soil and can be performed on undisturbed or remoulded samples.
Civiltech perform Direct Shear test by all the following 03 methods.
Unconsolidated Undrained Test
Consolidated undrained Test.
Consolidated drained conditions Test.
Specification
- Unconsolidated Undrained Test 'U-U Method'
- Consolidated undrained Test 'C-U Method'
- Consolidated drained conditions Test 'C-D Method'
