Rebound Hammer Testing

As per IS 516 Part 5 Section 4 : 2020

Civil Tech has Digital and Mechanical types of rebound hammer in accordance with IS 516. It can evaluate strength of the on-situ concrete.

It is a quick estimate of the strength of concrete. Since it simply gives an indication based on surface properties.

Objectives of the Test -

  • To access the compressive strength of concrete with the help of suitable co-relations between rebound index and compressive strength.
  • To access the uniformity of concrete.
  • To access the quality of the concrete in relation to standard requirements.
  • To access the quality of one element of concrete in relation to another.
